School Curriculum

Primary (Grade I to V - Age 5 to 10 Years)

Our primary school program covers a period of five years, wherein the scope and depth of learning increases gradually. Young children in this highly sensitive and impressionable age are very carefully initiated for the teaching learning activities under the utmost care of well groomed teachers with pedagogical training. Highly motivated mother aayas take care of the emotional side of students.

English, Mathematics and Hindi are the core subjects, music, painting, computer, science through the play way methods. Physical education and dramatics are the part of Co-Curricular and outdoor activities that stimulate the mind and body.

The language learning is emphasized in first two years (grades 1 and 2), along with mathematics in practical terms, to encourage observation and discovery. Children also start using the computer as a tool for learning and communication.

In the Upper Primary School (grades 3 to 5), children begin to use their acquired skills in language and mathematics to take the cognitive problem solving initiatives. Care is taken by teachers to ensure whole-class learning and the purpose of assessment is to reflect the quality of the students' understanding of concepts.

Middle (Grade VI to VIII - Age 11 to 14 Years)

In the middle school years, self-reliance in learning becomes an important aim. The curriculum incorporates social studies and science in addition to previously taught subjects. In addition to the subjects offered at the primary level they study one additional language, which can be Sanskrit or French.

Attention is given to attain a requisite level in each subject through independent and collaborative learning. Games, Arts and Craft, Dance and Music are part of the curriculum. Special emphasis is laid upon Cultural and Co-Curricular activities for the all round development of the child.

Like our curriculum, our evaluation and Examination System is based on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). To understand the levels of the students in various subjects we take assessment in the beginning of each academic session. As prescribed by CBSE we follow the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system for all classes. Our assessment system is tailor made to test understanding of students and not simply the ability to mug up contents.
